W. Curtis Preston interviews Miles Kelly, Sr. Director of Product Marketing of Riverbed, at VMWorld Barcelona 2012. Riverbed has had a number of announcements recently, which Curtis and Miles discuss here. Riverbed's most recent announcement is that their Steelhead EX appliance now features a VMWare vSphere 5.0 Hypervisor and how this has helped a number of customers further consolidate, reducing or eliminating the need for servers to run next to the Steelheads at remote offices. They also discussed Riverbed's announcements on Cascade, their network performance monitoring tool, Stingray, their application delivery controller, and Granite, which allows organizations to project virtual desktops from the data center and run on a granite instance at a remote office.
